BioOS manifesto
BioOS is the first computer operating system dedicated to Biology.
The concept and first model was built in 1994, MRC Centre, Cambridge, UK.
Its purpose is to make a whole computer OS that is specialized for biological information objects (BiO), such as bioresearchers and scientists.
BioOS is not only for Biologists and scientists, but also for any user who like the interface and programs.
Principles:
0) Currently, BioOS is based on Linux and Ubuntu.
1) Easy to use
2) OS structures and UI are not going to be changed often (backward compatibility and conservative UI)
3) Many useful programs are installed as defaults (you don't have to install many utilities). BioOS is going to be very heavy.
4) Long term distribution is used (for OS stability).
5) BioOS is for both humans, machines, and AI
